Properties:

Tantalum:Inert to sulfuric and hydrochloric acid in all concentrations below 300°F(200 °C).Tantalum is in common use up to 500°F(260 °C).  

Niobium:Closely related to tantalum.Niobium is refractory metals and melting point is 2468 °C.

Titanium:Good corrosion resistance and toughness.

Zirconium:Very strong, malleable, ductile, lustrous silver-grey metal. Its chemical and physical properties are similar to those of titanium. 

Nicke:Outstanding resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. 

Typical Application:
Heat Exchangers, Condensers, Columns or Towers, Reactors, Helical Coils, Pipe Spools, Valve Linings and a variety of other components exposed to extremely corrosive fluids. 
Tantalum can be fabricated into Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers and Bayonet Heaters for chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical applications.

Titanium:Gr1, Gr2,Gr4,Gr5,Gr7,Gr11,Gr12, Gr16
Gr1: It is the softest and most ductile among pure titanium materials. It has the best formability, excellent corrosion resistance and high impact toughness
Gr2: It is the most widely used commercial pure titanium material, its strength is slightly greater than Gr1, and its corrosion resistance is the same as Gr1. Gr2 material has good weldability, strength, ductility and formability
Gr4: It is the highest strength among pure titanium materials for commercial use. Excellent corrosion resistance, good formability and weldability. Therefore, titanium alloy (Gr4) is widely used as medical titanium alloy
Gr5: It is the most widely used of all titanium alloys. 50% of the titanium alloys used worldwide are Gr5
Gr7: The physical and mechanical properties are close to Gr2, but the addition of palladium in the gap between the metal particles makes it an alloy.
Titanium alloy (Gr11): In addition to adding a small amount of palladium to improve corrosion resistance, the performance of the alloy is very close to Gr1. This corrosion resistance helps prevent crevice corrosion and reducing acid corrosion in a chloride ion environment.
Titanium alloy (Gr12): The most outstanding feature of Gr12 is its excellent weldability. As an ultra-durable alloy, Gr12 still maintains high strength at high temperatures
Excellent resistance to corrosive attack in most organic and inorganic acids, salt solutions, strong alkalis, and some molten salts.
Being used include Reboilers, Evaporators, Tanks, Packings, Trays, Reactor Vessels, Pumps, Valves and Piping.

Nickel &Nickel Alloy:
HASTELLOY B series(B-2, B-3):Outstanding resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. B-2 has low thermal stability while B-3 is good.
HASTELLOY C-4:High operation temperature up to 1040℃.
HASTELLOY C-22:Best corrosion resistance to oxidizing aqueous media. 
HASTELLOY C-276:Cheap and easy to purchase.
HASTELLOY C-2000:Resists all acids, especially hydrochloric, sulfuric and hydrofluoric acids.
HASTELLOY G30:Superior corrosion resistance over most other Nickel and iron-base alloys.
Inconel:
High temperature,High strength ,Good fabricability,Resistance to chloride-ion-incurred stress corrosion cracking,Non-magnetic
Monel:
Excellent resistance to reducing media,Most resistant to hydrofluoric acid of all engineering alloys,Good mechanical properties from sub-zero temperatures up to 549℃
